Berry Tea Oatmeal

Every morning I have Flahavan’s porridge (oatmeal) for my breakfast with a coffee. It really is the only thing that keeps me full until lunch, to stay nice and healthy I usually make it using water instead of milk and I add spices like cinnamon to give it some flavour. The other day however I was inspired to infuse the water first with a herbal tea bag. I used “berry tea” to flavour the boiling water before adding the oats into the mix and cooking as per packet instructions. The berry tea bag could be switched to Chai tea also if that is your preference, why not give it a try yourself and choose your favourite herbal tea to add to your porridge in the morning, topping it off with your favourite chopped fruit and nuts taking it from “meh” to “mmmmm” in seconds.

  6. I love the idea of infusing the water with a herbal teabag! I do love either dairy or almond milk in my porridge though, so I’d probably try infusing the tea in warm milk before mixing it altogether (mmm, chai with soy milk! I need to try it!). Thanks for the lovely idea πŸ™‚
